A bit about me. As the sayin goes, "I'm Southern, sassy, and a bit smart-assy." I'm a born and raised Louisiana girl, but I've moved around a lot because I'm always up for an adventure.
I'm a wife, mom, and Mimi. I have a potty mouth that would put a pirate to shame (tho I refrained from using such fowl language here), a wicked sense of humor, and I just am who I am.
I've had several careers in my life, but the hardest one for me to label was being an Artist. It took me a long time to get here, but now that I am, I'm never gonna give it up!
I’ve been asked what my inspiration was for this deck and let me tell you straight up, it was life experience! I grew up in a small town where everybody knew everybody and more often than not knew more about your business than you did. It was not uncommon to be given “advice” or told what you needed to do about something every where you went, whether it was the Post Office, feed store, or the local gas station. I pulled from those memories of well meaning older ladies (and sometimes gentlemen) trying to steer me in right direction.
Though often unsolicited, there was occasionally some sound reasoning in their application of southern sayings to what ever problem they were addressing, and I say “occasionally” because there was also some slightly unhinged and marginally crazy thrown in there too. Southern sayings can be a thing of beauty or used like a deadly weapon. And if that isn’t something you understand, well, bless your heart.
